According to a professor of Latin at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, the Greek Minister of Education is considering eliminating Latin from the high-school curriculum. In hopes of saving Latin from being eliminated, it has been suggested that a letter writing campaign might help!

Please talk to your Eta Sigma Phi chapters and advisors to see if anyone would be interested in sending letters or even short promotional videos advocating for the continuation of Latin education.

Here is the address to which brief, respectful letters should be sent:

The Honorable Minister of Education
Professor Kostas Gavroglou
Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs
